Weekly: Columbia community Silent Vigil for ICE Abducted Students 12-1pm Mondays

Since April 2025, Columbia faculty and staff have gathered in weekly vigil for university and high school students across New York City who have been targeted and detained by ICE.

Among them is Leqaa Kordia, a Palestinian community member detained by ICE in 2025 after protesting at Columbia. Her image has been held in our vigil since April last year—a constant reminder of what is at stake. In her honor, supporters recently organized a week-long 100 hour Relay Hunger Strike.

We stand for them.
We stand for their families.
We stand for the right of our students to protest and learn without fear.

How long will we continue?

Until our students and colleagues are free — and until our campuses are no longer sites of intimidation.

Join us. Stand with us.
